LOS ANGELES(December 20, 2016) – Caribbean nationals in Los Angeles recently celebrated the holidays with two spectacular events in Hollywood. The Caribbean Holiday in Hollywood themed weekend events included, a holiday reception and Caribbean Christmas Tree Lighting. The two events, complete with delicious Caribbean fruit cake, jerk chicken dinner and gifts for the children were all reminiscent of Christmastime in the Caribbean.

Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and The Bahamas were among the countries represented at the Holiday in Hollywood events. The celebrations were hosted by myKEEtv Caribbean TV Network. The Los Angeles-based company hosts the annual events as part of its commitment to highlight and preserve Caribbean traditions.

Bombay East & West Indian Market in Chatsworth, California sponsored the Holiday in Hollywood events. Celebrity chef, Bernard James who operates Taste of the Caribbean Restaurant in Hollywood catered dinner for the Caribbean Christmas Tree Lighting. Guyanese businessmen own both entities. myKEEtv partnered with the companies to offer the food and festivities at no cost to the attendees.

The weekend of events were held on Friday, December 16th (Holiday Reception) and Sunday, December 18th (Christmas Tree Lighting).
